The blog took an accidental sabbatical for the last two months… wow two months. Time flies when you’re having fun. I say accidental because I accidentally broke it. When we found the time to figure out what was wrong and fix it; we lost a lot which had to be recreated. On the bright side, the blog received a much needed face lift.
A lot has happened over the last two months.
I had the most encouraging birthday that I can remember. It was filled with my family, friends, delicious food, bright smiles, warm hugs, warm fire, vivacious laughter, and edifying words.
We celebrated having Izzy Pup in our lives for two years! This spoiled dog… she’s basically our kid.
We got the chance to go hiking at Red River Gorge in all the brilliant golden light of Fall.
We were blessed by the generosity of one of my bosses’ who let us use his cabin in Tennessee for a relaxing weekend get away!
The little sister had her Sweet 16! That’s a big deal! It’s thrilling to watch her grow into a wise, vivacious young woman.
I have seen God move in so many ways in our lives and our family and friends’ lives… not the least of which is Will getting promoted to flooring Department head at Home Depot! I am blessed to have such a hardworking, conscientious man to do life with.
That’s probably enough of a recap. For a look to what’s ahead:
- Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie (totally from scratch)
- Candied Pecans
- DIY Christmas Decorations
Before I signoff this welcome back post I will leave you with one of the verses that Will and I aspire to embody in our marriage – Hebrews 10:24.
